ACTIVITIES + EXPERIENCES

Kite Surfing & Windsurfing

First-time novice or skilled expert, you’ll love Keros beach in Lemnos. With calm, warm waters and close-to-perfect wind conditions during the summer months, boarding is truly a breeze.
Keros is unique because it combines 3 spots in 1 beach!
There is a complete flat section on the north side, a bump n jump spot exactly where the club is, and a wave section on the south side of the same bay.
You can reach all spots by going upwind/downwind for about 5 minutes, or if you are lazy, make it a 2min car drive!

Birdwatching

The wetland of Aliki – Chortarolimni (inbetween Kontopouli and Panagia) acts as a resting and wintering area for many species of migratory birds. The bird fauna of the region consists of more than 30 migratory and endemic species. With good luck you can see quite a number of flamingos.

Lemnos & ANZAC

Lemnos was the principal assembly, embarkation and supply point for the Gallipoli landings. The landings at Gallipoli were practiced on Lemnos prior to their deployment at Gallipoli and the islands’ harbor was a major staging post for naval operations in the Gallipoli campaign, including the submarine campaign.

Hotel Ethaleia is located at the French troops campground, overlooking the Moudros bay and is just a 5′ drive from the East Moudros resting grounds.
